The Chalet
We had been looking for such a long time for our “perfect” spot. It was like a unicorn, never to be found.
Being originally from Newfoundland, John and I were looking for a place that reminded us of home …. a wood cottage, private and peaceful, surrounded by tall trees, on a calm lake that would be nice for swimming and fishing. We found our unicorn in 2021 and I’m quite sure its one of the most beautiful chalets in Quebec. It has everything we were looking for and so much more. So welcome to our beautiful 4 bedroom log home on the shores of peaceful Lac à Charette.
Named for its warm cinnamon coloured logs, Cinnamon Lodge is nestled just a few steps from the lake on our private 2.5 acre wooded property. We have a private boat launch and plenty of parking space so you can easily bring your own motorized boat and/or water toys to explore over 45km of nearby lakes and rivers. We provide a variety of non-motorized water toys including kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and a floating water mat.
Winter is equally beautiful with nearby cross country ski trails and snowmobile trails. We provide a variety of snow toys including sleds, snow shoes and hockey nets. Depending on weather and ice conditions, we try to have an ice rink cleared for family skating and a friendly game of hockey as well as a spot nearby cleared for ice fishing.
Cinnamon Lodge is every family’s dream location. With beautiful cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, wrap around deck, 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a cozy loft area, 215sqft dock, sandy water entry and a 700sqft hockey themed games room, everyone will have their own favourite spot to hang out.
Doesn’t it sound like one of the most amazing chalets in Quebec? We think so! It’s the perfect getaway for up to 12 people and only 1.5 hours from Ottawa and 2.5 hours from Montreal.

Family Fun
Having three kids of our own, we designed both indoor and outdoor spaces with families in mind. Whether you have a group with little kids or all adults, there is fun for everyone. We have board games galore, a pool table, a poker table, giant Connect 4 and so much more. Outdoors we have yard games such as giant yahtzee, croquet, and bocce ball as well as an amazing giant water lily pad.
Definition of Cozy
While the cottage is large, you can’t help but feel cozy and welcome … comfy reading corner in the loft, fuzzy bathrobes for all ages, snuggly campfire blankets, silky bamboo sheets on every bed, gravity loungers on the deck, and soft beach towels … we’ve tried to give you every cozy luxury you deserve.
Rustic Comforts
Cinnamon Lodge is a private rustic oasis with all the luxuries of the finest chalets. You’ll enjoy two large wood fireplaces, a giant lakeview firepit, a summer herb garden, forest swings and hammocks but also the finest of amenities including environmentally friendly mini-bath supplies, bamboo sheets and an array of small kitchen appliances meant to make your visit more enjoyable.
